This is the founder speaking. I have been away from this group for some time, due to extenuating personal circumstances which kept me away from Deviantart in general. It was brought to my attention that our group was hacked, our artwork was deleted, and lewd pictures were uploaded. I wish I could say that I was surprised by what happened to our group, but I'm not. I wish I could say that I am disappointed by the behavior of the person (or people) responsible, but I'm not, because in order to be disappointed one must have expectations which behavior falls short of, and that is simply not the case here. I knew it was only a matter of time before someone would try something like that. There are many places in the Bible that said we would be hated and reviled for the cause of Christ. Not everyone can accept the truth, and the people who know they are in the wrong yet find the truth unpalatable (for whatever reason) are in the worst place of all. But none of that changes the fact that it is our job to spread the truth. I'm not going to call for revenge, or wish our malefactor(s) ill, but I am not going to ignore what happened either.
This was nothing less than an act of hate, and an attempt to drive us out of Deviantart. The kind of mentality that causes someone to think violating the personal property of others is acceptable because you disagree with their beliefs (in this case vandalizing or DA page), is the exact same mentality that causes some men to strap on bombs and blow up school busses full of children. It's true, think about it. However, we will not be intimidated or driven off so easily. The fact that this happened just goes to underscore how badly our message is needed, and how we must in fact increase our efforts to be heard and to disseminate the truth. The first thing I want to do is appoint more moderators. If you are interested in moderating then send me a note telling me about yourself and why you would be a good choice for moderator. I would also like to create a website where our artwork and articles will be posted external to Deviantart, and which we could potentially develop into an organization. My schedule/life is still packed, so I'm going to need lots of help.
It's worth noting that the evolutionist pages on DA are neither hacked, nor do they have trollish or antagonistic comments on their pages. That is not likely to change, as we adhere to a fixed behavior standard, but I want any third parties who are trying to decide which way they lean to take note on the behavioral differences between us. Trustworthiness, honesty, methodology, and purity of intentions are all factors in determining credibility. I am not trying to pigeonhole all evolutionists, in fact many are decent and honorable people, but there is a large contingent of them who do not respect the rights of the individual, which often happens when one does not believe in natural rights. The fact is, no matter how much we may disagree with someone, we respect their right to disagree with us and to have their own views. Brute force (personal violations such as physical violence, vandalism, etc.) does not win an argument, and neither does legislation (which is in fact bureaucratic brute force). They can vandalize our property, attack us physically, or get a third party to do it for them, but none of that has anything to do with who is right and who is wrong.
Let's not let this tragic incident be something that defeats us, but something that inspires us and reminds us how badly the world needs to hear what we have to say.
